Mijn blog ben ik in eerste instantie 7,5 jaar geleden voor mezelf begonnen, en nog steeds is bloggen iets wat ik zeker ook voor mezelf doe. Maar ik zou liegen als ik zou zeggen dat mijn lezers mijn weblog niet nog een stuk leuker maken. En ik weet heel erg zeker dat mijn blog er een stuk anders uit zou zien zonder bezoekers.
In 2010 zijn mijn bezoekersaantallen verdrievoudigd, zowel pageviews als unieke bezoeken. En daar ben ik best wel gelukkig mee, want dan zal er vast wel iets zijn wat ik goed gedaan heb het afgelopen jaar, toch? Waarschijnlijk heeft dat ook deels te maken met het hernieuwde enthousiasme wat ik voor bloggen gevonden heb en de hoeveelheid posts die daarmee gekomen zijn.
Het afgelopen jaar heb ik mijn Nikon afgestoft en ben ik er mee gaan spelen, vaak met een belabberd resultaat, maar hey, oefening baart kunst they say. Ik ben meer boeken en films gaan kijken en heb deze als inspiratie voor blogposts genomen. Mijn vakanties worden van begin tot eind gedocumenteerd, ik ben mijn modeverslaving met jullie gaan delen en van ieder sportief avontuur bracht ik jullie op de hoogte.
Ik voel me op dit moment meer blogger dan ooit. Dat wil niet zeggen dat ik voel dat ik me kan meten met de grote bloggers, maar daar wil ik mee zeggen dat ik toch wel veel met bloggen bezig ben. Ik denk vaak ‘hey dat is leuk voor m’n blog!’ en bedenk dan alvast wat ik ga schrijven en maak een paar foto’s. Ook zijn er dingen die ik doe, juist omdat ik een blog heb. Ik denk dat ik een stuk minder avonturen (voor zover je het zo mag noemen) zou beleven, zonder m’n blog.
Maar nu mijn vraag aan jullie.. wat willen jullie het allerliefste lezen? Willen jullie meer mode? Meer foto’s? Meer serieuze praktijken? Meer films en boeken? Meer privé-updates? Of juist minder? Wat zou ik kunnen doen om te zorgen dat mijn weblog volgend jaar nog drie keer zoveel lezers heeft als nu? (hoewel ik ook erg gelukkig zou zijn als ik volgend jaar nog net zoveel lezers heb als nu hoor!).
Kortom, wat willen jullie van me?

Ik ben een aantal jaar geleden, toen je nog op de middelbare school zat, je blog gaan volgen, omdat het net was of je stiekem leest in andermans dagboek of een dagje bij iemand mee kon gluren in zijn leven. Eigenlijk schandalig dat ik als bijna afgestudeerd WO'er nog steeds smul van een soort van GTST-taferelen (oke, dat is een beetje aangedikt). Voor recepten en outfits zijn genoeg sites. Maar wat ik toch wel het leukste vind om te lezen zijn je persoonlijke verhalen (met foto's!) en blogs over je toekomst (baan, uit huis gaan)! Maar nogmaals, de combinatie maakt je blog juist zo leuk!

Hoewel de afwisseling ook leuk is natuurlijk – dat doe ik ook met mijn blog. Zo trek je wel een groter publiek, maar, wat ik al zei, misschien kan het daardoor nooit diepgaander worden. Mocht je dat willen natuurlijk.
Laatste tijd vraag ik me persoonlijk in ieder geval af hoe het persoonlijk met jou gaat. Met je vriendje en je huizenjacht en je studie/werk plannen. Je schrijft niet veel over je freelance werk. Wat zijn je ambities?

Ik denk dat het toch het 'Big Brother'-principe is wat het leuk maakt om je blog te lezen: het idee dat je een kijkje kan nemen in iemands leven. Daarnaast zou ik het ook heel leuk vinden als je een keer een foto van je vriendje zou posten, daar ben ik echt nieuwsgierig naar.

Off The Cuff: Wish you were running for Congress in my state you would get my vote. The people need to wake up now. Obama is on the fast track moving us toward fascism. I, like some many others, was impressed with his speeches and his promise of change so I voted for him in the primary. However, I did my own research and found him to unamerican with a vision of forming a totalitarian government, with him as the dictator he did not get my vote in the general.
