Ik probeer geen alcohol te drinken op feestjes met potentiële werkgevers schreef ik donderdag en dat vonden sommigen van jullie maar stom. Eigenlijk probeer ik helemaal geen alcohol meer te drinken. Herinneren jullie mijn blog nog van een paar weken geleden, van die verschrikkelijke kater? Nou aan die kater kwam dus maar geen eind. De eerste drie dagen voelde ik me echt verschrikkelijk rot en nu, vier weken later, voel ik me nog steeds niet zo als ik me voelde voordat ik gedronken had.
Dat KAN niet denken jullie nu vast, dat is gewoon een samenloop van omstandigheden geweest! Nou ik denk dat het wel kan, want ik heb dit al vaker meegemaakt. Ik drink, en niet eens zo schrikbarend veel (iedereen om mij heen drinkt veel meer) en ik voel me wekenlang slecht. Ik ben niet de enige in mijn familie met het probleem. M’n vader heeft hetzelfde en mijn zusje dronk vorig jaar twee glazen prosecco en werd zo ziek dat ze twee weken lang alles wat ze binnen kreeg weer uitspuugde en schrikbarend ernstig ondergewicht kreeg.
En het gekke is ook.. De ene avond kan ik makkelijk vier glaasjes wijn drinken, de volgende avond ben ik na een glas wijn een beetje a la Paris Hilton / Lindsay Lohan. Goed en dat risico wil je natuurlijk niet lopen. En daar komt bij, ik ben van mezelf al verschrikkelijk enthousiast en vrolijk, daar heb ik geen alcohol voor nodig. Sterker nog, als ik alcohol drink ben ik dus Annemerel in het kwadraat en ook dat is niet altijd positief.
Dan denk je misschien.. waarom drink je niet gewoon wat vaker dan raak je er misschien aan gewend? Ja, zou ik kunnen proberen, ik heb het ook wel geprobeerd, maar dan nog kan mijn lichaam het soms ineens niet meer aan. En daar komt bij, wil ik wel aan iets wennen dat eigenlijk niet zo goed voor mij is?

Ik ken het! Ik ben één keer zó ziek geweest toen ik 15 was. Nu pas ik echt op met wat ik drink. Ik heb een grens en als ik die grens behaald heb ga ik over op cola of water. :-)

Je hoeft je inderdaad niet te verantwoorden waarom je niet drinkt! Ik vind het ook wel bij de gezonde leefstijl passen die je probeert aan te houden. Daarnaast doet je verhaal mij heel erg denken aan dat van een goede vriendin van mij. Zij kan niet tegen alcohol en zegt zelf vaak maar dat ze allergisch is.
Ik sluit me helemaal aan bij je laatste zin, waarom zou je drinken als je je er zo belabberd door voelt?

Ik zou niet inzien waarom je maar zou moeten ‘wennen’aan alcohol, sorry maar dat is toch onzin? Lekker laten staan als je er zo ziek van word, daar word je lijkt me ook niet gelukkig van, zo ziek weken na dato.
Ik heb ook precies hetzelfde, ik hoef soms maar 1 glas te drinken en als ik dan thuis zit, op de bank, heb ik er meestal niet zo’n last van. Maar als ik met uitgaan ook al maar 1 drankje drink, ben ik er de hele week ziek van! Echt erg balen, want een lekker wijntje lust ik wel graag. Gelukkig ga ik dan ook niet meer uit-uit zoals ik dat vroeger deed, dat ‘drukke’ gedoe speelt denk ik ook wel mee…
Ah kan me heel goed voorstellen dat je na zulke ervaringen er liever helemaal mee stopt!

Als ik alcohol drink staat mijn buik een week lang overhoop. Toen ik 18 ofzo was heb ik besloten om geen alcohol meer te drinken, en ik hou me er nog steeds aan :) Voor mijn 18e dronk ik het wel, maar toen stond mijn buik ook altijd overhoop..
Ik word vaak wakker met een kater zonder dat ik wat gedronken heb haha :P
Maar ik drink ook niet veel. 4 keer in het jaar is veel. Ik ben 1 keer dronken geweest. Nooit meer! Ik kan overigens wel redelijk wat drank aan, maar ik doe het niet ;-).
Alleen maar slim. Die paar uur at je er lol van hebt weegt niet op tegen alles erna.
Hartstikke goed juist. Jij kent je eigen lichaam het best en anderen hebben daar helemaal niets over te zeggen. Vind het juist heel verantwoordelijk en volwassen overkomen!
Meisje, je moet gewoon doen waar jij je goed bij voelt… en alcohol drinken hoort daar dus duidelijk niet bij. Als je zo beroerd bent en zeker zo lang… why doing it? Tenzij je zin hebt in een lekker wijntje.. maar anders doe je gewoon lekker wat je zelf wilt!!

Heel herkenbaar, ik lijk ook al dronken van vrolijkheid zonder maar een druppel op. En wat ik doe, als ik dan toch zin heb in een wijntje, water erbij (eventueel zelf erin), dan komt het wijntje echt veel minder hard aan, thankgod. Maar champagne e.d. laten staan, veels te veel percentage.
Iedereen moet doen waar hij of zij zich goed bij voelt, en daarvoor hoef je je dan echt niet te verantwoorden! Ik ben zelf niet zo’n frequente drinker maar als ik een avond ga stappen, gaan er best wat biertjes in. Ik kan er gelukkig heel goed tegen en van katers heb ik praktisch geen last. Maar dan nog: het is niet gezond, en daar ben ik me heel goed van bewust.
Ach, mensen die het stom vinden dat je niet drinkt vind ik per definitie losers. Wat een ophef om zoiets onbenulligs zeg, please. Doe gewoon waar je lekker zin in hebt, drinken of niet. Dus als jij je er niet goed bij voelt Annemerel, verstandige keuze om dan niet te drinken. :)

Ik drink sinds een paar maanden geen alcohol meer, om persoonlijke redenen. Ik ben ondertussen vijf kilo afgevallen, voel me gewoon iedere dag fit, ben emotioneel gezien veel stabieler. Maar het is lastig. Ik dronk veel, soms iedere avond maar zeker een paar keer per week. Om opeens niets meer te drinken is zwaar, maar ik ben er wel blij mee. Dus gewoon doen waar je je goed bij voelt, en beter iemand die niet drinkt dan iemand die als een dronken lor rondstrompelt.
Hierin heb je helemaal gelijk hoor. Zo lang jij achter je keuze staat. Wat anderen vinden is hun zaak en zeker niet jouw probleem. Ik vind het al helemaal professioneel dat je niet drinkt bij potentiële opdrachtgevers/werkgevers.
Zelf drink ik ook niet heel veel. Ik vind een wijntje met vrienden erg gezellig, maar daar houdt het wel mee op. Als ik meer dan enkele glazen drink en ik ga laat naar bed, dan merk ik dat de dag erna meteen en functioneer ik niet goed. Dan ben ik de hele dag een beetje misselijk en zwak op de benen. Eigenlijk ook zonde van de dag ook nog. Ik begrijp je keuze dan ook heel goed, maar ook al zou ik dat niet doen, het blijft jouw keuze en eigenlijk hoef je je helemaal niet te verantwoorden;)

Na mijn ene ernstige kater durfde ik meer dan een half jaar geen alcohol meer aan te raken, gewoon omdat ik telkens aan die verschrikkelijk avond herinnerd werd. Nu drink ik alleen op gelegenheden, maar ook met mate. Ik weet van mezelf dat ik instant ziek word. Soms zonder reden! Dan denk ik ‘huh? Ik heb bijna niets gedronken!’. Mijn lichaam kan dat gewoon niet aan. Maar om even terug te komen op jouw post. Iedereen beslist dat voor zichzelf. Als jij weet dat je iets te leuk wordt na een paar glaasjes terwijl er toekomstige werkgevers rondlopen, dan is het meer dan logisch dat je je inhoudt.

Heel verstandig van je! Ik vind ook dat je je hiervoor niet hoeft te verantwoorden. Sommige mensen vinden het misschien suf dat je niet drinkt bij potentiele werkgevers, ik vind het verstandig. Een glas kan verkeerd vallen en dan sta je straks bekend als de dronken lor ;) (goed, dat zal allemaal wel meevallen, maar bij wijze van spreken natuurlijk).
Je hoeft inderdaad helemaal geen verantwoording af te leggen, ookal moest je er niet ziek van worden is het een keuze dat iedereen voor zichzelf maakt. Het kan alleen maar gezond zijn :)
Alleen maar netjes toch :) dan weet je in ieder geval zeker dat je nooit een pijnlijke grens overschrijdt :) en hoef je ook nooit een dag later jezelf ter verantwoording te roepen. xx.
