Ik word gelukkig van Sex and the City. Ik geef het liever niet toe, maar toen ik me maandag rot voelde (sluimerende hoofdpijn, misselijk als ik opstond, het staartje van de non-alcoholische kater van de dag ervoor) heb ik het complete tweede seizoen van Sex and the City in precies negen uur gekeken. Van 14.00u tot 23.00u lag ik op de bank, de enige beweging die ik had speelde zich af op de bank, ik verwisselde af en toe van kant als ik last van m’n nek kreeg. Ik heb halve afleveringen gemist omdat ik lag te slapen, maar dat maakte niet uit want dit was toch al minstens de vierde keer dat ik het hele seizoen zag.
Maar dat was natuurlijk niet de afspraak, ik zou geen serie-herhalingen tot in de treurigheid blijven kijken. Ik zou gaan lezen, althans, dat schreef ik een paar weken geleden nog. Dat was het plan dus. Gelukkig heb ik nu ook eindelijk een boek gevonden wat tegelijkertijd ook guilty pleasure is.
Vorig jaar schreef ik al over het eerste deel van The Carrie Diaries, over Carrie’s laatste High School jaar, net voordat ze naar New York vertrekt. Ik vond het echt een fantastisch boek, heerlijk geschreven en gewoon heel erg fijn vermaak. Een paar maanden geleden las ik dat er een vervolg kwam, maar ik wist niet wanneer. Deze week schoot me dat bericht ineens weer te binnen, dus ik besloot een poging op google te wagen. En wat denk je, het boek ligt al meer dan twee maanden in de winkel! Binnen tien minuten was het boek besteld op Bol.com natuurlijk!
Nog eventjes in tweestrijd ‘voor de vakantie bewaren of lekker gelijk lezen’ besloot ik ‘who am I kidding’ ik rust dus echt niet voordat dat boek uit is. Oh en wat een liefde! Dit boek is nog leuker dan het eerste deel. Carrie is dus inmiddels in New York en wordt op sleeptouw genomen door Samantha. Ze raakt in dit deel ook al bevriend met Miranda en natuuuurrrrlijk zijn er de nodige romances! Ik ga er niet meer over vertellen, jullie moeten me maar gewoon op mijn woord vertrouwen. Dit boek moet gelezen worden (mits Chicklit je genre is natuurlijk!)

Leuk! Het eerste deel heb ik ook, maar die vond ik eigenlijk niet zo fantastisch. Wel vermakelijk maar totaal niet te vergelijken met de serie. Hopelijk geldt dat voor het tweede boek wel!
Ik heb het eerste deel nog in de kast liggen, maar ik ga het nieuwe boek zeker snel in mijn mandje gooien op bol.com!
Ik ben ook dol op SATC en kijk het ook vaak wanneer ik me niet zo lekker voel, just love doing that! is niks ergs aan hoor meid!
