Ik heb gister zoveel gegeten, zoveel heb ik met Kerstmis niet eens weten weg te werken. Het begon met een ontbijtje bij Elzenduin met gebakken eieren, toen kwamen de chocolade gojibessen (ja, ik heb suiker gegeten, maar ik dacht die gojibessen heffen dat dan wel weer op, toch?), toen kwamen de bakkerscrackers, de van Dobben bitterballen, de mandarijnen en de banaan (dat dan weer wel) en toen ik thuis kwam werd de verjaardag van m’n broertje gevierd. Eerst te veel chips gegeten, daarna losgegaan op het stokbrood met knoflookboter (nu, een dag later, natuurlijk weer spijt, want de smaak in m’n mond is momenteel nogal doods!). We gingen aan tafel en aten sashimi tonijn, kreeft uit de oven en kreefttartaar, we aten salade en tomaatjes met olijven en knoflook uit de gril. We aten risotto en zeebaars en toen zat ik dus echt wel even vol. Maar dat gaf niks, want er kwam kersenvlaai voorbij en daar zit suiker in, maar ik dacht, ik heb vandaag al gezondigd, laten we er vandaag nationale zondigdag van maken en dus genoot ik van een heerlijk stukje kersenvlaai.
Ik hou van eten, lekker eten, goed eten. Hoewel mijn enige activiteit in de keuken gisteren ‘een beetje roeren in de risotto’ was, voelde ik me toch aardig de chef. Ik wilde dat ik iets minder onhandig was en iets meer geduld bezat, oh en misschien iets meer tijd had, dan stond ik waarschijnlijk dagen in de keuken. Maar ik ga meestal koken als ik trek heb en dat moet je dus niet doen, want daar wordt je ongeduldig van en dan verbranden er pannen, gebruik je verkeerde gaspitjes waardoor de ketel (waar geen water in staat) verbrand, of vliegen je ovenhandschoenen in de hens. Ja lieve mensen, dit heeft zich allemaal de afgelopen weken voltrokken. Goed he?
Gelukkig is m’n vriendje wel een echte (voor mij) chef, dus verhongeren zal ik als ik over een maandje samen ga wonen dus echt niet.
