De eerste show die ik vrijdag zag was de show van Sheguang Hu in samenwerking met Otazu. Sheguang kwam op zijn zestiende vanuit China naar Nederland en heeft gestudeerd aan de Rietveld Academie. Zijn collectie is een unieke mix van Asian meets European. Oh en Hu heeft onder andere Haute Couture voor het koningshuis ontworpen! De show was prachtig en indrukwekkend, maar totaal niet mijn smaak. Of ik het zou dragen werd mij gevraagd? Ja.. naar een Asian Disney feestje. Maar dat neemt niet weg dat ik niet genoten heb van de show. Oh en de eerste jurk, die de show met 51 jurken opende, die zou ik dan wel weer dragen. Het was echt een show, met sieraden van Otazu en modellen als Sylvia Geersen en zelfs HNTM’s catwalk specialist Mariana Verkerk. Muziek van Pirates of the Caribbean eronder en je hebt een show.
Voor de tweede show heb ik een helse tocht door een nat grasveld afgelegd in mijn geleende Louboutin’s. De show van Sage and Ivy was buiten bij het water op het Westergasfabriekterrein. Ik kon alleen maar denken ‘wat een GELUK dat de show vandaag is en niet gisteren plaats vond’. Sage and Ivy is het label van Alexia van Engelen, ze toonde vorig jaar juli haar eerste collectie op de AIFW. De setting was prachtig, de modellen liepen over het water (er was een catwalk gecreëerd die net onder water lag). De collectie zelf was ook geinspireerd op water met vrouwelijke, lieve jurkjes en playsuits. I loved it! De make-up van de meisjes was ook een mooie wetlook. Dat heb ik helaas niet zo mooi op de foto kunnen vast leggen aangezien er geen telelens op mijn camera zat en ik niet de ballen had om net als de andere fotografen het water in te lopen met mijn camera. Of ik het zou dragen? Alexia stuur mij gerust de gehele collectie..
