De eerste rit ging vandaag naar Dornbirn, een dorpje net over de grens bij Oostenrijk waar we al zo lang als ik me kan herinneren, iedere winter weer, overnachten.
We vertrokken rond een uurtje of negen, na wat last minute stress natuurlijk, dat hoort er gewoon bij. Stress waarvoor denk je nu misschien? Ja, dat is het mooie van die last minute stress, de reden ervan kun je je na een half uurtje al niet eens meer herinneren.
Natuurlijk kwam ik er na vijf minuten in de auto al achter dat ik het vest, dat ik speciaal voor de wintersport gekocht had, niet had ingepakt. Jammer dan. Had ik maar iets meer tijd in het inpakken moeten investeren, want eh, als je in tien minuten probeert in te pakken, dan moet er ook gewoon wel iets vergeten worden.
Goed, de reis verliep voorspoedig. In Duitsland hebben we aardig wat toeristische routes, dwars door idyllische dorpjes genomen, maar daar heb ik weinig van gemerkt want ik heb minimaal 75% van de reis mijn ogen dicht gehad.
In een kleine tien uur waren we op de plek van bestemming. Roos koos onze kamer uit, want dat is nu eenmaal belangrijk. We aten salades, schnitzel en friet, want dat hoort in Oostenrijk. Ik dronk witte wijn die we op m’n werk ook schenken dus ik weet in ieder geval dat me deze keer geen Chateau Migraine is geschonken en dat is met het oog op het schema van morgen absoluut geen overbodige luxe.
Over iets meer dan twaalf uur sta ik op ski’s!!!!!!

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
