Deze zomer mag je gerust de zomer met de ‘serie-verslavingen-van-Annemerel’ noemen. Bewaar ik mijn obsessieve tv-serie gedrag meestal vooral druilerige herfst en wintermaanden, deze zomer, de laatste weken ook wel wat van een druilerige herfst weg hebbend, ben ik aan iedere serie waar ik gewoon een aflevering van kijk spontaan verslaafd.
Het begon met mijn her-ontdekking van The OC. Een paar jaar geleden leefde ik op OC-energie. Ik stond er mee op, ging er mee naar bed, droomde ervan, ’s nachts en overdag, ja het was heel erg. Een paar maanden geleden haalde ik eindelijk mijn vriendje over de serie met mij te kijken en sindsdien kijken we iedere avond voordat we gaan slapen The OC. Inmiddels zijn we bijna door seizoen drie heen, dus de serie is alweer bijna ten einde..
Ergens halverwege juli -toen het nog wel gewoon prachtig weer was- ontdekte ik Pretty Little Liars. Iedereen tweette erover en ik werd nieuwsgierig. Ik was hooked. Ik keek de eerste zes aflevering in een dag. Toen ik aflevering zeven wilde downloaden lukte dat niet, bleek nou, er waren pas zes afleveringen. Wist ik veel. Een paar weken geleden was aflevering tien, de voorlopig laatste aflevering, en wat was ik depri dat ik nou nog steeds niet wist wie nou die mysterieuze A. was.
Maar lang treurde ik niet, want ik ontdekte gewoon de volgende serie, Teen Mom. Het vervolg op 16 & Pregnant, waarin vier jonge moeders hun baby proberen te verzorgen en nogal wat probleempjes hebben met vriendjes en ouders. Ik raakte dusdanig aan de serie verslaafd dat ik zelf ook een kleine erwt wilde. Ja lieve lezers, dat lezen jullie goed. Gelukkig heb ik nog genoeg werkende hersencellen om die gekke ilusies te laten voor wat ze zijn, maar toch.
Vorige week begon ik, ook na een aantal twitterberichtjes, eindelijk aan The Vampire Diaries. De afgelopen zes dagen heb ik iedere dag gewerkt maar geloof het of niet, ik heb toch nog de tijd weten te vinden om alle 22 afleveringen van het eerste seizoen te bekijken. En ja, nu ben ik dus hooked. Het is Twilight all over again. Jeezz.. het is ronduit lachwekkend, dat een 21-jarige ‘jonge vrouw’, afgestudeerd, zo hopeloos kan zijn dat ze werkelijk waar ieder uur van de dag wel eventjes denkt aan de ondeugende ogen van vampier Damon, de lieve blik van zijn broertje Stefan en de pure schoonheid van Elena.
Maar morgen is het 1 september. Dan is het afgelopen hoor. Ga ik gewoon weer terug naar ‘mijn echte wereld’, zonder vampieren, tienermoeders en stalkende overleden vriendinnen. Deal?!

Ik baal ook dat Pretty Little Liars opeens gestopt is, het was niet eens zo'n goede serie maar wel verslavend! En The Vampire Diaries is zo fijn… ik heb ook in zo'n halve week het hele seizoen gekeken. Ik ben nu weer opnieuw begonnen met Gossip Girl. Seizoen 2 heb ik nu net af, en nu seizoen 3 voor de derde keer, zodat ik dalijk weer helemaal klaar ben voor seizoen 4 :D
