Bas Kosters was een show. Er was geen enkel item waarbij ik dacht, he nou, kan niet wachten totdat dat in de winkels ligt, maar dat hoeft ook niet. Het gaat bij Bas Kosters voor een groot deel om het beeld, om de show. Dat is niet alleen mijn bescheiden mening, dat zegt hij zelf ook.
Het hoofdonderwerp van de show was mutatie, maar als je tegen mij gezegd had Chinees Nieuwjaar gemixt met Jungle had ik het ook geloofd. De muziek was lekker gek, de meiden en jongens stampten bijna over de catwalk.
En een BN’er festijn. Tegenover me zat Stacey Rookhuizen die trouwens in het echt veel mooier is dan achter de jurydesk bij X Factor. Sophie van der Stap, van het boek Meisje met de zeven pruiken, wat een prachtig meisje is dat! Cecile Narinx heeft vijf minuutjes voor me gezeten, als in, echt voor me, mijn voeten tegen haar rug. Ja echt, ik meen dit serieus. Ben nog vergeten te smeken om een leuke baan, ineens was ze weg!
Weet je wat tijdens de show van Bas Kosters misschien nog wel een van de leukste dingen was, kijken naar de reacties van het publiek. Al die telefoontjes en camera’s, mensen die lachte, opsprongen, juichte! Het was gewoon een groot feest, een show, een hele bijzondere.
