Ik heb dan ook een beetje gespijbeld. Ik heb geen vlees gegeten, zo min mogelijk toegevoegde suikers, sowieso geen alcohol en caffeine, een verdwaalde gluut, een paar garnalen en een petit peu wilde zalm en oh ja die ene keer dat ik met yoghurt ontbeet.. maar verder neem ik m’n spreekwoordelijke petje voor mezelf af.
Toen m’n ouders en zusje pasta en pizza aten, at ik een salade. Toen we bij Starbucks zaten en Roosmarijn een cakepop at en m’n moeder een Frappucino had, genoot ik van m’n sojashake. En toen we door de MacDrive reden kreeg ik een side salad met dressing on the side en at ik een banaan en een notenreep om niet helemaal ‘als een vampier hongerig voor bloed’ aan te vallen op m’n zusje die naast me kipnuggets met patat en een chocolade milkshake verorberde.
Of ik hierdoor minder genoten heb? Misschien 0,1%, of ik me hierdoor beter voel? 100% zeker wel. Ten eerste heb ik geen hoofdpijn of buikpijn gehad (iets wat ik meestal wel ‘door alle drukte’ lees: ‘m’n slechte onderweg eetgedrag’ kreeg) en twee, ik voel me niet schuldig, iets wat ik anders vast wel gedaan zou hebben.
Wat ik dan zoal gegeten heb?
Bananen, noten(repen), salade’s, fruitshakes, gojibessen, witte rijst, garnalen, (soja)yoghurt.. Laten we het er op houden dat ik zoveel gegeten heb dat ik geen moment honger heb gehad, maar geen enkele keer het gevoel heb gehad dat m’n buik zou ontploffen.
Mijn grootste zonde van Berlijn: Caesar Salad met garnalen(dierlijk product), parmezaan(dierlijk product), croutons(gluten) & Caesardressing(dierlijk product). Maar eh, wel van genoten hoor!
