We zouden iets leuks gaan doen, maar ik mocht niet weten wat. Ik moet zorgen dat ik een setje schone kleren bij me had en een tandenborstel was ook wel gewenst. De volgende dag zou ik niet voor twaalf uur kunnen werken, maar we bleven wel in Nederland.
Dat was het eerste plan dus, niet van mij maar van mijn vriend. Het originele plan viel een klein beetje letterlijk, maar ook zeker figuurlijk in het water. Wat het was, weet ik ook nog steeds niet, maar dat maakt niet uit. We zijn dinsdag een dagje en een nachtje naar Antwerpen geweest en dat moet minstens zo leuk als het originele plan geweest zijn.
Natuurlijk nam ik mijn camera mee inclusief een lege batterij, dus mooie foto’s zijn er helaas niet gemaakt. Mijn iPhone heeft mijn Spiegelreflex noodgedwongen moeten vervangen..
De dag ging in een roes voorbij, de details zijn allang weer vergeten. We reden naar Antwerpen, door mijn afleidende praatjes misten we ergens bij Rotterdam al een afslag, maar dat maakte niet uit. We lunchten bij Het Gebaar, Tartaar van Rund, Gebakken Langoustine, Carpaccio van Langoustine, Salade van Avocado en een dessert dat op zichzelf ook al meer dan genoeg zou zijn geweest. Een selectie van de kaart, alle vier de desserts in een ‘wat’ kleiner formaat met als absolute topper de mango met citroengras, yoghurt en pistache. God wat was dat lekker.
Om vijf uur liepen we naar buiten, snel een hotelletje geboekt, even naar de kamer, daarna glaasjes Cava drinken en tapas eten in de hotel lounge. Om vervolgens naar het volgende restaurant te gaan. De Godevaert, klassieke keuken, heerlijk gegeten. Maar niet zo spectaculair als onze lunch, hoewel deze toch een ster hadden en de eerste niet. Gekke mensen die michelinmannetjes.
Toen we tegen twaalven naar ons hotel liepen waren we verzadigd, of nou ja ik dan, vriend beweerde nog steeds honger te hebben en kocht nog even de halve avondwinkel leeg. Maar dat hebben we gisterochtend allemaal in het hotel achter ons kunnen laten, want toen we de hotelkamer eenmaal bereikt hadden was de energie toch echt op. Heerlijk hebben we geslapen.
Gisterochtend alweer vroeg aan het ontbijt want om twaalf uur moesten we al weer fris en sprankelend op ons werk verschijnen en dat is gelukt :). Vandaag nog een dagje werken en dan morgen lunchen met Nathalie in Amsterdam en ‘s avonds drankjes met Kim, heb er zin in!
